The Jewellery Pot company was launched in 2006 primarily to offer customers a range of quality jewellery at affordable prices.
The founder, Gi, recognised that whilst there was a growing trend for costume jewellery available through party plan, there was little choice with many companies pricing upwards from £15.
Gi's vision was to bring Jewellery Pot stock to the customer rather than show samples and catalogues. As an avid shopper herself, she saw the importance of not only being able to touch and try on the product but of being able to keep it there and then. With this in mind and a vast selection of jewellery all priced under £15 her first party was held. Very quickly parties flooded in with customers eager to have a girlie night in and then take their goodies away beautifully giftwrapped. With stock constantly changing and word spreading fast the demand increased as the gift buying season arrived. The range was extended to include designer jewellery, small gifts and jewellery stands which further proved to be a big success.
Soon customers were asking if they could buy online or if there was a catalogue they could show their friends. Ever changing stock and having such a diverse range meant it was hard to offer either of these alternatives initially. However, in 2007 as demand for party bookings continued to increase it became clear that there was a need for more than one person to facilitate the parties. Gi addressed this by offering the income opportunity on a self employed basis to others.
With retail exerience spanning over 25 years, Gi knew that good customer service was essential to any successful business and was keen to ensure that this followed through the company as it developed.
A good rapport was developed with regular customers resulting in items often being delivered or posted outside of the party enviroment. Offering online shopping would mean customers could shop at their convenience, wherever they lived and receive their chosen piece quickly. Developing a website that was user friendly whilst offering the selection and value that Jewelllery Pot had become known for was the next challenge.
The website was launched in 2008 resulting in Jewellery Pot now being available worldwide.
